    135, 155, 165 (PR), 175 (PR), 185 (PR), 196 (clean but fail on jerk), skipped round 7…fatigue won

    First time getting to a body weight clean for the 196 attempt.

    Not sure if I’m getting stronger or if my squats are starting to not suck so bad.
    First fail was a little better then the second; needed to be quicker with the squat.

    Note: Split jerk from rack 1 rep max is 140 lbs., could of gone a tad heavier today but the back has been hurting lately.

    For 86, was finally able to get overhead, but pressed out each time. However, 86 is a max overhead for me, and 91 is a max clean.

    taking things slow – first time heavy jerking since last Sept.
    Weight went up pretty easy, but held at 95 to not overdo on shoulder and arm.

    More pressing than jerking ….. The jerk/overhead technique is the weak link …. Wish I could have stolen some of Dina’s mojo today

      Ha! You were doin’ great. With each try you were pressing less, jerking more. Honestly! You’re training your body to do differently. It will happen.

    Heres surpise another first but since Im the new kid on the block I can say that. Had to do a MOD for my front squats require work safety is key here.

    45,55,60,65,69.4,71.6,76 weight seem to go up easily the heavier it got. I look forward to when I have form nail for I can’t wait to see what I can max out as.

    *Note to self to remember not to muscle the weight up but to use hips and shrug. Also need to remember to engage my core on the higher weights. Crunched the back a little on the last jerk. Taping wrists helped today. No wrist pain.

    **I think this is a PR for the clean and jerk. I don’t remember ever doing the two together. I think I’ve gone past 100 on the clean. I need to start at higher weights to get a PR next time. I had nothing left for the 95# jerk.

    Todd had referenced the 10/04 workout for WOD – that was my first day at Crossfit. I worked out with 75lbs that day.

    Back felt bad this morning so did the 6:15 class. Failed on the squat clean on first attempt at 215. Squat clean 215 on 2nd attempt but failed on the jerk.

    Probably the only person who gets upset/mad about getting a PR. ;) Seriously though I KNOW I could have gotten 135 it didn’t feel THAT heavy. It just wasn’t there tonight.
